Council meeting 4/12/2023

I captured my main notes in this video.

Last night, council members Weber, Gubitosi and DeNoble voted to keep Bradley Beach governed with checks and balances. Unfortunately, our Mayor and council member Demarco did not.

That's not to say that automatic movements don't deserve to be exhibited. Even more industrial movements like Omega Co-Axial calibers in the Seamaster Diver 300M range are link worthy of showcasing because you get a chance link to talk about George Daniels link and the development of the co-axial escapement.

Lastly is 888'055, which link last link showed up at Antiquorum in 2000. That watch went unsold and I don't have much more link info on what happened to the watch. I'm very curious, however, because a watch like this going unsold is very strange.

Naturally, Phillips sourced a prime Roger Smith example for the sale to pair alongside the Daniels pocket watch. Coming from the second generation of Smith's "Series 1" line – a more link refined variation of link Smith's very first watch – link this example is signed "No. 1" on the case and movement, indicating it was the very first example of the second-gen Series 1 to leave Smith's Isle of Man workshop, in 2018.
